Dimapur, Sep. 2 (EMN): The Aboi Area Students’ Union (AASU) has asked all the government employees serving under Aboi sub-division to remain at their posting places, perform the duties assigned to them and not to keep proxies.

The union informed in a press release that it had adopted a resolution during a consultative meeting on August 27, to conduct surprise inspection in the area and take action if any incumbent employee is found absent or not performing one’s duty.

The AASU warned that it will initiate its own course of action as per its constitution and “No Work, No Pay” will be implemented effectively if any employee is found ignoring its “directive”.

It has come to our notice that some of the government servants are not performing their duties as desired by the people of Aboi area, which is against the principles and constitution of the union, Vice President of AASU Alang Angh was quoted as saying, adding that it’s a matter of “deep concern”.
