Kohima, April 19 (EMN): A speeding vehicle (Mahindra TUV) on Thursday reportedly skidded off the Secretariat Road in Kohima and rolled down to the Sanuorü stream. According to traffic personnel, the road mishap occurred due to ‘over-speeding’, and three male passengers sustained minor injuries.
The spot where the incident took place has a narrow bend with soil erosion occurring along the edge of the road after the area was submerged in 2016 due to blockade of drainage.
In another incident, a Maruti Alto was reported to have crashed into a house at Chiephobozou under Kohima district. Sources said the occupants of the car sustained some injuries but were out of danger. Police could not be reached for details.
