WCH urges members to attend Chakhesang-Sümi Brotherhood celebration
DIMAPUR — The Western Chakhesang Hoho (WCH) appealed to all members of the WCH, the presidents and colleagues of all frontal organisations, the chairmen and colleagues of the Chakhesang villages and constituent units, the Chakhesang gazetted officers, leaders, and elders to join the celebration of the 29th anniversary of the Chakhesang-Sümi Brotherhood.
An update stated that the event will be held on November 26 at 11 am at the Baptist Theological College Ground, Pfutsero town, Phek, and is organised jointly by the Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) and Sümi Hoho.
WCH is anticipating a delegation of over 500 representatives from the Chakhesang community residing in the Western Area to participate in the event.
Noting that the apex body, CPO, has extended a special invitation to the Chakhesang community residing in the western area, it has been made mandatory for the office bearers of all frontal bodies of WCH—namely the Western Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (WCMA), Western Chakhesang Youth Organisation (WCYO), Western Chakhesang Students’ Union (WCSU), and Western Chakhesang Gaon Buras Association (WCGBA)—to attend and actively mobilise their members for this momentous gathering.
Additionally, all affiliated units of WCH and Chakhesang villages have been requested to send at least 10 representatives or more to ensure strong participation.
“Your presence is vital as we commemorate the enduring bond between the Chakhesang and Sümi communities and celebrate the progress achieved over the past 29 years. Let us come together in unity to honour our shared history and aspirations for the future,” it read.
