27th Inter-District and State Table Tennis Championship from Oct. 8

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Table Tennis Association (NTTA), affiliated to the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI), is set to conduct the 27th Inter-District and State Table Tennis Championship at Kohima Indoor Table Tennis Stadium from October 8 to the 11th.

According to an update, S. Keoshu Yimchunger, Advisor for Youth Resources and Sports, will attend the opening ceremony as the special guest.

Entries for the team championship will be accepted through the State District Table Tennis Association, the district sports councils, or the district sports officers.

The team championship will be played on a league-cum-knockout basis. The men’s team championship will follow the Swaythling Cup format, while the women’s will use the Corbillon Cup system. The individual events will also be played on a league-cum-knockout basis.

The rules and regulations of the game will adhere to the TTFI system. Winners will receive cash prizes and certificates in various categories, including: men’s and women’s team, men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles, boys’ and girls’ singles (under 19), boys’ and girls’ doubles (under 19), boys’ and girls’ singles (under 15), veterans’ singles (40+ and 50+), veterans’ doubles, and mixed doubles.

All district associations have been requested to update their annual affiliation fees. A team manager meeting will be held on October 7 at 5:30 pm at the NOA premises.
