DIMAPUR — The Sumi Chess Association Nagaland (SCAN) will be organising its 11th All Sumi Open Chess championship 2024 from October 10 to the 12th at Tourist Lodge Dimapur.
In a press release, the association invited all chess enthusiasts from the Sumi community to participate in the tournament. Entry fee has been fixed at INR 1000 for open category, INR 500 for under-18 and under-14 categories, and free entry for physically challenged persons. Registration will close on Oct. 8 at 4 pm.

The winner in the open category will receive INR 20,000 along with trophy and certificate. The second to 10th position holders will also receive cash prizes and certificates.
In the under-18 and under-14 categories, the winners will receive INR 5000 each along with trophies and certificate. The second to fifth position holders in both the categories will also receive cash prizes and certificates.
The best female player will receive INR 5000.
