DIMAPUR — Due to the urban local body (ULB) elections in Nagaland on June 26, coinciding with the “International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking,” Nagaland Police will observe the day on June 27 by raising awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse, joining the rest of the world.

In a press release, it was stated that the occasion aims to create awareness among the people, encouraging everyone to stay away from drugs and lead a healthy life. The day will be marked by all ranks of Nagaland Police at all DEFs and battalion headquarters taking a pledge against drug abuse.

The general public is encouraged to join online at https://meet.google.com/fhb-msud-uky on June 27 at 11 am to participate in the pledge. The event will also be streamed live on the Nagaland Police Facebook page.
