Faculty development programme held at FAC
MOKOKCHUNG — The internal quality assessment cell (IQAC), seminar committee, and research and development cell of Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung, jointly organised a one-day faculty development programme (FDP) at the conference hall of the college on Monday.
The resource persons for the FDP were Dipak Sinha (Chemistry), C R Deb (Botany), and Somenath Bhattacharjee (Anthropology), all from Nagaland University, Lumami.
In her keynote address, Bendangsenla, IQAC coordinator, underscored the significance of research innovations, noting that an institution’s quality hinges on the faculty’s contributions. She emphasised the necessity of continually updating one’s knowledge and skills, citing FDPs as valuable platforms for sharing expertise and experiences and staying abreast of the latest policies and regulations.
During the technical sessions, Dipak Sinha provided insights to the faculty on API placement. He discussed the different categories of placement and strategies for preparing for various levels of placement. Additionally, Somenath Bhattacharjee delivered a presentation on research project writing to the Arts faculty, while CR Deb addressed the same topic with the Science faculty.
Bhattacharjee also shared information with the faculty regarding the various types of research and the different funding agencies for research projects. He guided the faculty through the process of writing a research proposal and provided instructions on submitting projects both online and offline.
