NHM employees in Mokokchung join nationwide rally
DIMAPUR — The National Health Mission (NHM) Employees Association Nagaland organised a mass rally at Dr. Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH), Mokokchung, on Monday, as per the directive of the All India Health and National Health Mission Employee’s Federation (AIHNEF).
The federation, which represents all contractual and outstanding employees of central and state-level schemes and programmes, had called for a mass rally with an objective of putting forward its demands for the welfare of employees.
According to an update from the office of the Chief Medical Officer, the demands of the employees include: declaration of all India Health and National Health Mission employees as government employees; ensure job security up to 65 years; ensure direct payment of salary to all outsourced employees through the government; ensure social security benefits; and establish “Employee Welfare Commission”.
