DIMAPUR — Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) national workers of Chakhesang region have reaffirmed their stand on the national cause under the leadership of Gen. (retired) Thinoselie M Keyho, president of NNC, and Namrikiu, Kedahge of FGN.
The reaffirmation of this effect was made during a consultative meeting of NNC/FGN national workers of Chakhesang region on October 13 at Runguzu Nasa. The meeting was convened by the FGN midan peyu of Chakhesang region, Serapra Shijo.
A press release issued by Angui Swuro, speaker of FGN Leacy Hoho, Chakhesang Region, stated that razu peyus, sub-regional presidents, Chakhesang women society executives besides the Chakhesang regional authorities, the rank and file of Naga army under 13th BN, 14th BN and 15th BN under 5 Brigade of Southern Command of Naga army and FGN central authorities from Chakhesang region attended the meeting. It added that a host of public and church leaders were present to show and express solidarity with the region and national government.
It stated that clarification statements were produced in respect of the recent ‘disturbing and confusing developments’ in the Chakhesang region.
The members have condemned the so-called ‘emergency tatar hoho or the joint executive meeting of NNC/FGN’ convened by the expelled formal speaker of tatar hoho, Kunuchosa Rhakho, in K Basa village unconstitutionally on September 23.
The Chakhesang region national workers declared that they had nothing to do with the expelled national workers from the NNC/FGN.
Meanwhile, the FGN of Chakhesang region expressed gratitude to the ACC and his council, church leaders, women society and the youth society of Runguzu Nasa for their selfless service towards making the meeting a success.
