DIMAPUR — The Assam Rifles, under the campaign ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’, collected mitti (soil) from remote locations in Nagaland and organised an ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’ on Monday with the staff of the district administration of Mokokchung.
According to a press release, the mitti collection began on September 5 and culminated with the Amrit Kalash Yatra and the presentation of the Kalash to the district administration.
The Assam Rifles also attended critical patients by going door to door and providing assistance in the form of medicines and other necessary items under the ‘Aushadhi Initiative’ at Monyakshu village, Mon.
A total of 23 patients were personally visited by its medical representatives.
In other news, the Assam Rifles provided skill development training on bamboo handicraft manufacturing under the ‘Aatmnirbhar Initiative’ at Bumei village of Mon district.
Over the course of two days, 121 locals, including young students and women, participated in the training.
