Salesian College of Higher Education’s NSS unit conducts orientation programme

DIMAPUR — The NSS Unit at Salesian College of Higher Education (SCHE), Dimapur, conducted an orientation program for its volunteers on Monday to commemorate its foundation day.

Zeneikho-o Benedict Pfukha, the state NSS officer from the Directorate of Youth Resources and Sports, spoke about the aims and significance of the National Service Scheme (NSS), as per an update. He also highlighted the duties and responsibilities of the NSS volunteers, with special emphasis on how they can contribute to society through various social services.

Providing a brief history of the functioning of NSS units in Nagaland, Pfukha expressed delight in witnessing young Naga students and youths excel in various platforms through NSS. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Kabian Clement, the president of the NSS unit at Salesian College of Higher Education.
