DIMAPUR — The District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) held its monthly meeting at the conference hall of the DC office, Chümoukedima on Thursday. DC Chümoukedima Abhinav Shivam presided over the meeting.
Several key agenda were discussed during the meeting, including the construction of the DCP office in Chümoukedima, the registration of the District Auto Driver’s Union, and a grant-in-aid for Highland Hall School at Naga United village.
The board approved the proposed actions for these agendas after thorough discussions. Additionally, the committee approved the registration and upgrade of Eliezer Public School at Chümoukedima-A after considering its merits.
On the occasion, representatives from Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation outlining the department’s current and upcoming projects, providing insight into their activities.
On the health front, CMO Atula spoke to the attendees about Dengue fever prevention, emphasising the importance of eliminating stagnant water and maintaining cleanliness.
Similarly, CVO Dr. E Kepfoh spoke about lumpy skin disease (LSD), a viral disease that affects cattle and buffalo. He highlighted the importance of vigilance and proper handling in order to contain its spread.
