Seyochung Area Students’ Union (SASU) has urged the Health and Family Welfare department to deploy a medical officer at the community health centre
DIMAPUR — Seyochung Area Students’ Union (SASU) has urged the Health and Family Welfare department to deploy a medical officer at the community health centre (CHC) in Seyochung town under Kiphire district within 15 days.
In a representation to the principal director of Health department, the union stated that CHC in Seyochung town has been functioning without a medical officer except for a handful of para-medical staff and lab technicians since October 2022.
The union has also resented the poor attendance of the staff posted at CHC Seyochung town.
The union, therefore, sought the intervention of the concerned authority in the prevailing situation without any further delay and to deploy a medical officer within 15 days.
SASU has assured full support to the concerned department whenever required. It, however, stated that the union would be compelled to strengthen its demand if the department fails to their grievances.
