DIMAPUR — A one-day district-level ‘Training of Trainers on U-WIN’ was conducted on July 15 at the CMO conference hall, Longleng.

The training was organised for various participants, including medical officers, staff of Social Welfare department, Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM), epidemiologists, community health officers, vaccinators, staff nurses, block programme managers, and block asha coordinators. The introduction was given by Dr. Imnameren Phom, District Programme Officer (RCH/UIP).

In his opening remarks, Dr. Tiasunep, CMO Longleng, emphasised the importance of the U-WIN programme and urged all participants to actively participate and remain attentive for the successful implementation of the programme in the district.

Dr. Imkongtemsu Longchar, State Immunisation Officer, provided an overview of U-WIN, explaining that it is an app platform used for registering and vaccinating pregnant women, recording their delivery outcomes, registering newborn deliveries, administering the first dose, and managing all vaccination events.

He mentioned that the system allows for planning vaccination sessions, updating vaccination statuses digitally in real-time from the last mile of service delivery, and recording and reporting all data for the Universal Immunisation Programme.

The resource persons for the training were Dr. Imkongtemsu Longchar (SIO), Kingson Kamkara (SPO, UNDP), and Rajesh K. Monsang (RPO, UNDP). The participants received training on various aspects of U-WIN, including workflows, administrative modules such as facility and user creation, mapping, integration with other portals, session planning and management, case studies, hands-on practice, self-registration module, and delivery point module.
