Travel advisory issued for commuters taking National Highway-702 in Nagaland

DIMAPUR— In what will come as a relief for commuters, light motor vehicles (LMV) will be allowed to take Changtongya-Longleng road from 6 am to 6 pm with immediate effect, following the partial clearance of debris caused by a landslide on the National Highway-702 (NH-702).

This was informed by the deputy commissioner (DC) of Mokokcung, Thsuvisie Poji, through a travel advisory on Monday.

However, the public has been advised to exercise utmost caution while passing through the affected area and to avoid taking the route during bad weather, foggy conditions or heavy rainfall.

The advisory also urged the people not to halt, stop or park their vehicles in and around the landslide-affected area in order to avoid posing a risk to their lives.
