PM addresses Rozgar Mela; distributes about 71000 appointment letters
DIMAPUR —Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed the National Rozgar Mela via video conferencing and distributed about 71,000 appointment letters to the newly inducted recruits in various government departments and organisations.
An update from the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) issued on April 13 informed that the new recruits selected from across the country will join various positions/posts in various ministries under government of India where they will also be able to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online orientation course.
45 places of the country were connected with the Rozgar Mela during the Prime Minister’s address.
Addressing the gathering, Modi congratulated the candidates and their families for getting the appointment letters and remarked that the government is committed to providing the right opportunities for the talent and energy of the youth to achieve the resolutions of a developed India.
The 4th ‘Rozgar Mela’ in Northeast was hosted by NFR in Siliguri, Guwahati and Dimapur where
Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush handed over the appointment letters at Maligaon, Guwahati in presence of Queen Oja, MP/Guwahati and senior railway officials. Rameswar Teli, Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas & Ministry of Labour and Employment handed over the appointment letters at Dimapur and Nisith Pramanik, Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Sports & Youth Affairs, distributed the appointment letters at Siliguri programme.
Of over 71,000 appointment orders in various departments, over 50,000 are from Railways where in NFR, 2890 appointment letters were handed over.
The Rozgar Mela is a step towards the fulfillment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord the highest priority to employment generation. The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.
