Mokokchung, Oct. 9 (EMN): In a run-up to its golden jubilee celebration, the Mokokchung District Bar Association (MDBA) has initiated various activities during the month of October. MDBA will celebrate its golden jubilee on November 15 on the theme “Reaching Out.”
An update from MDBA informed that an interaction on “Rights of the disabled persons” with the specially-abled persons of Langpangkong Block was held in Mongsenyimti village on October 4 and also at Chuchuyimpang village for Ongpangkong block and Longjang village for Asetkong block on October 5.
The MDBA also presented 71 shawls to the needy as jubilee gifts during those events. MDBA also visited the District Jail on October 6 and held interaction with the inmates on “Rights of the prisoners” and presented shawls to all the inmates comprising of 69 persons followed by visitation to the Children Home at Tzumashiyong, where a programme was held with presentation of gifts.
Meanwhile, MDBA has expressed gratitude to the co-coordinators of the three blocks of Caritas India CBR, Mokokchung, authorities of Mokokchung district jail and the father and mother of the Children Home for their cooperation and assistance towards making the programme a grand success.
