Dimapur reels under hot and humid weather; temperature expected to rise further

Dimapur, July 11 (EMN): Dimapur continues to reel under hot and humid weather conditions with the maximum temperature touching 33 degree Celsius and humidity level reaching 86 percent on Monday.

The national capital, New Delhi, recorded 37 degree Celsius and 50 percent humidity on Monday.

As per the weather forecast, the commercial hub of Nagaland will continue to experience intense heat wave this week with the temperature expected to increase to 34 degree Celsius on Tuesday while the humidity may slightly decline to 85 percent, and further to 35 degree Celsius on Wednesday with 80 percent humidity.

The temperature in Dimapur is expected to hover around 37 degree Celsius on July 14 and the 15th according to the forecast.

Meanwhile, Guwahati recorded highest temperature among the cities in the Northeast on Monday with 36 degree Celsius, followed by 35 degree Celsius in Agartala, 33 degree Celsius in Dimapur and 31 degree Celsius in Imphal.

Kohima started the week on a relatively lower temperature at 26 degree Celsius.
