Kohima, July 4 (EMN): A week-long youth programme of the Chakhesang Baptist Church Minister’s Hill Kohima (CBCMHK), which began on June 28 under the theme ‘Stand firm’ at the church premises, culminated on July 3.
About 250 youth, who attended the event, have participated in sports, music, and literary competitions.
Speaking on the theme, the associate pastor of CBCMHK, Thujoneyi Veswüh, urged upon the youth to always rely on Jesus in their pursuit for success in life. He called upon the youth to put on the full armours of God in order to stand against the schemes of the devil.
Senior pastor of CBCMHK, Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, and the associate pastor, David Chuzho, were the speakers of the event.
CBCMHK youth director, Rakodu Nukhu, has briefed about the activities taken up by the youth department in the last six months. He also informed that over 700 youth have registered under the youth department.
The week-long event was graced by the president of Chakhesang Wrestling Association, Vekhozo Ringa, at the inaugural programme.
