Nagaland: Longkong Baptist Church conducts free health camp in commemoration of jubilee
Dimapur, June 13 (EMN): A free health camp was held at Longkong village, Mokokchung district in commemoration of the centenary celebration of Longkong Baptist Church on June 11.
It was organised by the office of the Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung in collaboration with Impur Christian Hospital and Longkong Baptist Church.
The team was led by Dr. Maongkala, MO, Mongsenyimti with specialist doctors from IMDH, Changtongya, Chuchuyimlang and technicians from Sabangya, Changtongya and IMDH. The Impur Christian Hospital (ICH) team was led by Dr. S Akaba Longchar, ANM, tutors and student nurses.
During the camp, patients were screened for NCD by the staff of ICH, basic diagnostic test for blood, sugar and malaria, treatment and tooth extraction, general medicine, ENT, Ortho, Eye/Ophthalmic, Ayush screening and free spectacles were issued as per need.
Free medicines were distributed to the patients, while Ayushman cards were also made for beneficiaries by ICH. Awareness and IEC materials were handed over to the patients by National Leprosy and IEC team.
A total of 167 patients attended the health camp.
