Dimapur, March 8 (EMN): The people of Lotha Middle Range Public Organisations (LMRPO) in Wokha district have unanimously resolved to support the Framework Agreement for an early solution before holding the assembly election in Nagaland.

The resolution to this effect was taken during a consultative meeting of the NSCN (IM) with the public of LMRPO held on March 4 at Sanis community hall wherein the gathering was briefed on the present political scenario following the signing of Framework Agreement.

A press release issued by caretaker CAO of Lotha region, Yanpvu Jungio, stated that the group was led by its kilo kilonser, M Daniel Lotha. It stated that kilo kilonser has briefed the gathering on the Framework Agreement that enclosed the legitimate rights and safeguard the historical rights of the Nagas and to establish a new relationship for peaceful co-existence of the two entities on the basis of shared sovereignty.

The kilo kilonser called upon the leaders to come together and voice out as one people by organising various activities to express resentment to the whole world at this crucial period.

The kilo kilonser also reminded of the Naga Plebiscite of May 16, 1951, in which 99.9% of the people voted for an Independent Naga state in an affirmation to the Naga declaration of Independence on August 14, 1947, from all alien domination. He added that the Naga people did not appended the Naga Plebiscite for economic packaged or imposed political packages as those are far from giving the Nagas a lasting solution.

The kilo kilonser further called upon all the Nagas to once again reaffirm the pledge to uphold and respect the sacred of the Naga plebiscite.

The meeting was chaired by Yanpvu jungio. President of Lotha Public Organisation (LPO) and former MLA Sulanthung Humtsoe, and president of LMRPO Ntonsi Yanthan also attended the meeting. The invocation prayer was said by the associate pastor William.
