Diphu, Jan. 29 (EMN): In a heart warming incident, two 6-year-old boys averted a house from catching fire in West Karbi Anglong district on Friday.

The incident reportedly took place at the residence of one Dilip Hanse of Umpanai Dukan (Langlongku) village under Ulukunchi police outpost, West Karbi Anglong.

Dilip Hanse told Eastern Mirror (via telephone) on Saturday that there was no one at home when his penthouse for preparing pig feed caught fire. However, the two boys — Shadrach Rongphar and Referson Lamare – doused the fire that had just started by repeatedly pouring water using a jug.

He added that the two little heroes are sons of Jonish Rongphar and Riky Lamare of Umpanai Dukan (Langlongku) village, which is about 114 km away from the state capital Guwahati.

Borlongki Hanse, son of Dilip, also took to Facebook to share about the incident on Friday.

‘About today: Sometimes God sends his angels in the form of children. He (Shadrach) and his friend Referson saved my house from catching fire. Thank you Lord and the two heroes. I will never forget this incident. God bless them both,’ he wrote.
