Dimapur, Dec. 8 (EMN): The Khezhakeno Youth Organisation (KYO) organised a one-day people’s festival cum cultural day at Zhipfhemi community hall in Khezhakeno village under Phek district on December 5.
A press release issued by KYO president, Senovielhou Koza, stated that the event was conducted so as to embolden and educate the youngsters on the necessity to be ambassadors of the rich heritage. It also stated that the annual event was mostly restricted to village youths, leaders and elders while keeping in mind with the new normal.
The release stated that the village council chairman, Ichinyi, spoke on the importance of celebrating the rich and diverse culture. He also appreciated the efforts and dedication of the youths for the welfare of the village and hoped that the present generation would continue to create a sense of pride and honour by preserving the rich cultural heritage.
Demonstration and showcase of culture were other highlights of the programme.
It further stated that the programme was chaired by Tawochu Koza, while the invocation prayer was said by Ngochinyi Koza, pastor of KCRC Upper.
