Dimapur, Oct. 13 (EMN): The highway patrolling team of Kohima police, while conducting MVCP at Peducha, intercepted one unregistered Maruti Gypsy and recovered 654 bottles of illegal codeine cough syrup on October 12.
A police report issued by PRO Kohima police stated that one person identified as Lichithung Kithan from Yikhum village and resident of Etsutchukha colony in Wokha town was arrested. They also seized the illegal drugs along with the vehicle.
The report added that a case has been registered at Sechü (Zubza) police station under relevant sections of NDPS Act for the purpose of further investigation.
