Nagaland Governor, CM extend Mongmong greetings to Sangtam community
Dimapur, Sep. 2 (EMN): Nagaland Governor RN Ravi and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended Mongmong greetings to the people of the state, especially the Sangtam community.
“This festival is to have a good harvest after the villagers have toiled throughout the whole year. Mongmong is also celebrated as a festival of togetherness and forgiveness.
“Cleaning the paths leading to the fields, inter-village roads, village well etc. are carried out during the festival. The villagers also share their produce. Love, unity, forgiveness and care are the wonderful essence of this festival,” Ravi’s greetings read.
