Northeast Frontier Railways organises cleanliness drive
Dimapur, Aug. 15 (EMN): To mark the Independence Day celebration, the construction organisation of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) launched a week-long intensive cleanliness drive from August 10 to the 16th.
The cleanliness drive was carried out at colonies, office complexes, toilets and the drains in particular. The cleanliness drive was part of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan,” a massive mass movement that seek to create a clean India.
An update from senior PRO of NF Railways SK Ojah stated that safety rules were strictly followed as per the guidelines in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. It added that numerous activities were undertaken in all the field units of NF Railways construction during the intensive cleanliness drive which was participated by all employees and officers of NF Railways.
HS Yadav, chief administrative officer of NF Railways (Construction), led from the front to convey the message of clean railways and clean India, the statement read.
Later, Yadav made a fervent appeal to all the employees and officers to implement the vision and philosophy behind ‘Swachch Bharat Abhiyan’ launched by the Prime Minister of India to maintain hygiene and sanitation in the railway premises.
He added that cleanliness and sanitation should not be a one-time activity but should become a part of daily life.
