Dimapur, April 27 (EMN): Sixteen samples were sent from Nagaland on Monday for suspected Covid-19 infection test, according to an official update.
Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha informed that results for all sixteen samples are awaited. Out of the total 629 samples, 613 have been declared negative.
In Nagaland, 31 persons are currently under facility quarantine.
Sinha also informed that Prime Minister Modi held a meeting with all the chief ministers through video conferencing.
According to him, the prime minister appreciated the joint efforts of the chief ministers on various fronts, particularly in enforcing the lockdown, which has helped in slowing the spread of Covid-19 in the country.
‘He however forewarned that the danger of the virus is far from over and urged for constant vigil. Joining the discussion, the union home minister urged the chief ministers to ensure that the guidelines of the lockdown are strictly enforced.
‘The chief minister of Nagaland was accompanied by the deputy chief minister, the minister for Health and Family Welfare, the minister for Planning and Co-ordination, the advisor to Food and Civil Supplies, the chief secretary and other senior officials of the state during the video conference,’ he informed.
