Kohima, June 7 (EMN): The Nagaland Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers’ Association (NSSATA) third phase of agitation in the form of a sit-in protest has entered its second day at the directorate of School Education in Kohima on June 7.
With no response from the department, as the association demands for a ‘concrete solution’, the association president, Pennthungo Yanthan said the third day of its sit-in protest will be held at the Secretariat from 9 am to 3 pm on June 8.
The NSSATA has been demanding that 7th Revision of Pay (ROP) be granted to the teachers in line with regular state employees’; that the salaries of the SSA teachers (2010 and 2013) be paid from the state’s non-plan budget and also to release pending 7th ROP entitlement and salary.
