Mokokchung, Feb. 15 (EMN): Defending champions Trebuchet will play against Titans to retain the trophy as both teams won their seminal matches at Imkongmeren Sports Complex in Mokokchung on February 15.

In the first semi-final match between Titan and A&K CF, Titan opted to bat after winning the toss. The duo, Tokoho and Shampri posted a combined score of 90 runs, assisting Titan’s total tally of 200 runs/ 6 wickets in the allotted quota of 20 overs.

Tokoho secured a half-century of 25 balls and Shampri collected 41 runs off 24 balls. Nripen collected three wickets and Prachuya picked two wickets out of six in the first innings.

A&K CF managed to score 140 / 7 in 20 overs Titan has won the match by 60 runs and has stormed into the finals. Tokoho was adjudged the man of the match.

In the second semi-final match, Trebuchet triumphed against the persistent Tritons by 14 runs and got their chance to defend their title. Opting to bat first, Trebuchet amassed a total score of 127/7 in 20 overs. Imliakum’s 30 runs not out in 33 balls and Temsutoshi’s 16 runs in 15 balls were the highest contributors for Trebuchet.

Sujal picked four wickets and other bowlers collected one wicket each out of seven in the first innings.

In the chase, Tritons lost five wickets for 114 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 14 runs short against the defending champion.  Temsutoshi collected three wickets and scored 16 runs and was declared man of the match.
