56th NASA meet gets underway

The 56th Northern Angami Sports Association (NASA) Meet 2015 got underway here Thursday at Local Ground, Kohima. The three-day event was formally inaugurated by Class I contractor, Vibelietuo Kets.
In his address as the chief guest at the inaugural programme, the contractor called upon the sportspersons to give their best while competing in the events, displaying good sporting spirit. He encouraged them to strive hard so as to reach and compete in the national and international levels and bring laurels to the state in general and to the community in particular.NASA president, Neiketouzo Kenguruse informed that a total of 193 participants and 39 officials will be participating in the three-day sports meet. He said the selected players will be representing NASA at the forthcoming Angami Sports Association meet.
Earlier in the programme, Peraciezie Baptist Church associate pastor, Kevichalie Metha pronounced the invocation prayer while NASA games & sports secretary, Mhalehou Mere administered the oath to the players and officials.
The program was compered by Xavier Rutsa and Rukravolie Rülho.
