34th Mokokchung District Badminton Championship 2022 underway

Mokokchung, July 20 (EMN): The 34th Mokokchung District Badminton Championship 2022 organised by Mokokchung District Badminton Association (MDBA) got underway at Indoor Badminton Stadium here on Wednesday.

The tournament was officially inaugurated by Dr. Sentitula, DFO Mokokchung as the special guest.

Maintaining that the key to success is driven by passion, Dr. Sentitulam encouraged the players to commit themselves to the sport.

Discouraging the players not to participate just for the sake of it, she said the players should set objectives and goals.

She further advised the players to have discipline – physical, spiritual and emotional — which will help them reach greater heights.

“Discipline is the totality of life because it involves time management, perseverance and endurance,” she said.

President of MDBA, Martoshi informed that only the winner and runner-up of various categories will be allowed to participate in the upcoming Inter-District Badminton Champion 2022 scheduled to be held at Longleng in August.

It may be mentioned that in this year’s edition, 103 players are participating under 28 categories, including singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
