24th Alcheringa Cultural Festival concludes

Mister India International 2012 Opang Jamir attended the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati 24th Alcheringa Cultural Festival.

A press release from Jamir stated that he along with fashion designer Payal Goswami were in the jury panel for the recently concluded Alcheringa Haute Couture competition held at the IIT Campus in Guwahati on Feb. 2.

More than 20 fashion designers and fashion institutions within India participated for this year 24th Edition of Alcheringa Cultural Festival.

The Demolition Crew from Kolkata won the first position, NIFT Shillong and NEIFT Bluecloud Guwahati bagged 2nd and 3rd position respectively.

Alcheringa Cultural festival was stated to be one of the biggest students’ festivals in Northeast India since its inception in 1996 by a group of students of IIT Guwahati.
