1st inter-tribes students’ badminton tournament concludes

Dimapur, April 15 (EMN): The 1st Inter-Tribes Students’ Badminton Tournament, organised by the Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD), concluded on Thursday.
An update informed that Chirotho Rasutho, Joint Director, department of Geology and Mining and Panti Rongmei, Advisor (TSUD) were the special guests. It said that they encouraged the players and gave away the prizes. The programme was chaired by Ashenle Seb and vote of thanks was delivered by Rukewezo Wetsah, president of TSUD.
In the women’s single, Yaom B Konyak Konyak came in first place, while A Eunice Konyak was the runner-up; both were from Konyak Students’ Union Dimapur.
In women’s doubles, Yashikala and Chubanungla from Ao Students’ Union Dimapur were the first place winners while Khrienuo and Paukindinliu from Zeliang Students’ Union Dimapur were the runners-up.
Meanwhile, in men’s singles, Riku Khape came in first place while Zuchopemo Odyuo was the runner-up.
Lastly, in men’s doubles, Medemnochet and Imsuren won the first place while Teichang and Peramrisi Zeliang were the runners-up.
