An update from the battalion stated that besides the free medical camp, other facilities such as water storage tanks and sports items were distributed to the residents of Xuivi, Kilo Old and Satakha villages on the occasion. The free health camp was conducted by the battalion medical officer along with Dr. M Keyho, senior medical officer, and Dr. Alvis Chikhe, medical officer of CHC Satakha.

It stated that several needy patients have benefitted from the health camp.

Meanwhile, the villagers have appreciated 111 battalion BSF for organising a free health camp and expressed hope that the camaraderie would go a long way in further consolidating the bond and harmonious relationship between the locals and security forces.

It mentioned that BSF has always been at the forefront by undertaking various welfare/developmental activities to win the hearts of common people and boost the image of the force among the local population in accordance with the instructions issued by the government of India from time to time. Apart from its mandate of providing security to the local population, it added that many events are organised all the year round to improve and uplift the lives of people living.
