Training for polling officials underway in Manipur

Our Correspondent Imphal, March 18 (EMN):  Electioneering activities and regular training of polling personnel and randomisation of polling equipments are in a war footing manner after the announcement of the dates for the 17th Lok Sabha polls in Manipur. On Monday, Tamenlong District Election Office (DEO) conducted the first phase of training for the presiding officers and polling officers of Tamenlong district for the upcoming 17th Lok Sabha election at Mini Indoor Stadium and DYASO hall, Tamenlong . Master Trainers briefed the official about EVMs, VVPAT machines and counting unit. On the other hand as the notification is out for the for the ensuing Lok Sabha Elections 2019, Randomisation of EVMs and VVPATs for outer parliamentary constituency of Manipur — Saitu, Saikul and Kangpokpi of Kangpokpi district was also conducted for electoral officers. A meeting with representatives of political parties was also held at the same venue wherein DEO enlightened them about the process of randomisation EVM and VVPAT.
