Dylanite-10: Tribute to Bob Dylan at Wokha on May 24

De Band, along with the fans of legendary folk artist, Robert Allen Zimmerman, popularly known as Bob Dylan, will celebrate the Nobel Laureate Birth anniversary on May 24 at The Hammock Resort, New Wokha for the 10th edition of “Dylanite”. This was stated in a press note issued by Penn Ngullie of De Band. Dylanite-10 which is said to be an alfresco evening with the host ‘De Band’ will be performing songs of the famous nasal twanged singer, lyricist and humanist. Dylanite will also feature fans and artists from Mokokchung, the noted amongst them include Supongsangla Jamir, Composer & Director, Refiners Choir, Bismallah Khan Awardee, Sangeet Natak Akademi (Govt. of India), Shilubenla Jamir, Soprano 1, Refiners Choir, Finalist Naga Idol-01. The release further states that Dylanite has been a regular event in Wokha for the past one decade, and has become a popular event that attracts fans from far and wide. “Dylanite” is said to have been conceptualised in the year 2008 by the members of the De Band to spread the massages on humanity that Bob Dylan expresses through his lyrical songs. Throughout the last decade, De Band has performed many of Dylan philosophical songs on love& life. The event also gives sloth to fans to belt out their favourite number or to recite Dylan’s lyrics.
